“June 1st, The 1975.”
The iconic Manchester band, The 1975, has just released the first single from their third, highly-anticipated album. By following in their notable footsteps, the 1975 have released the song “Give Yourself a Try” on June 1st after weeks of teasers and mysterious countdowns on their website.
The band not only released their newest single, but have also cleared up and clarified some details about the band’s future –renouncing the idea to break off the band’s legacy after three albums and no longer transforming into Drive Like I Do (a different band and different concept) after the third album’s completion.
Following suit, the 1975 delivered another vibrant, colorful, lively video for “Give Yourself a Try”.
Giving us the same energy, if not better, the 1975 have given us another beautiful, telling installment of the next saga for the “Music for Cars era”. In a video with Beats 1 earlier this morning, lead singer Matty Healy states: “We’re doing ‘A Brief Inquiry into Online Relationships.’ Then I think May next year, we’re dropping ‘Notes on a Conditional Form.’” Inherently announcing that two albums are on the way, fans everywhere are getting excited that the 1975 are adding to the saga –not one, but two albums in the near future.
