On June 3rd, Lord Huron played at the legendary Fox Theater in Oakland, and as you can imagine, it was a night for the books.
Debuting their latest album this year, the live performance of Vide Noir as well as some deep cuts, Lord Huron brought the house down as they entranced the audience with their notably melodic sound and lively stage presence. Between Ben Schneider’s dancing and lively appearance, the band’s complimentary jiving, and the production design, Lord Huron collectively transported the crowd into a frenzy of love and life. I hadn’t seen anything quite like it.
The band was clearly enjoying themselves as they were performing, and it was easily transmitted and transferred to the crowd as the set continued. Making their way through new and old classics, Lord Huron delivered the full package –throwing roses, playing the theremin live, frequent hat changes, and all.
Lord Huron’s performance was unlike any other, and I definitely recommend seeing them if you’re looking for a great live show.
