On April 7th, Irish doom-soul singer songwriter, Hozier, made his way to the desert to perform to a sold-out venue on his Wasteland, Baby! tour.
After the release of his new, full-length album, Wasteland, Baby!, Hozier set off on a new tour across the U.S.A.. Successfully selling out the Pearl at the Palms Hotel and Casino, the Irish crooner has made his way into the hearts of Sin City.
Hozier motioned in full-gratitude as he danced and played on stage. Dancing with a lively and soul-gripping stage presence, Hozier created an atmosphere like no other.
Giving us the depth and doom that we crave when listening to his entire discography, Hozier gave us a night to remember.
As he sang songs off of his new album as well a his old, the crowds were not shy about singing along to every lyric that came out of his mouth. Perfectly setting up the crowd to get lost in the music, Hozier looked as though he had played with every ounce of passion as he had on his first tour through the United States.
Hozier performs with such passion and heart.
It’s honestly, no wonder that crowds have received him so easily and he continues to grow in his work and his discography grows. Never losing heart and never allowing fame to take over his mindset, the humble artist whose real name, Andrew Hozier-Byrne, has previously said in countless interviews that he had specifically separated himself from life on tour and in foreign countries to write and perform in order to go home to Ireland to re-gather and reset his mind and soul to get ready for his second album. And we can see that.
We can hear it and hear how much Hozier leans into his roots and his love for the important and defiant artists of the past.
With hit singles like Nina Cried Power on the album, we can hear how the strength of Hozier’s beliefs bleeds through in a non-filtered way. He wants to use his voice and his platform to translate everything that is most important to him.
Wasteland, Baby! itself is an absolute masterpiece and moves with complete authenticity and depth as the first album… and we’re thankful for it.
Catch Hozier on tour while you can!
